Are you experiencing high levels of stress in your everyday life? Feeling overwhelmed ..? Are you struggling with depression ? Stress is abundant and seems to be on the rise. In fact, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), 75 percent of doctor visits are due to stress. What I love about Yoga practice is the transformation it brings. Yoga works on many levels as we are a multidimensional Human Beings. The nervous system is one of the levels we can work on, switching from a sympathetic or Fight and Flight response to parasympathetic respond; Rest and Restore. In yoga practice through the sequencing of tense and rest/release we actually train our body to be able to shift more easily from stress to being at ease in our every day life.
